Hard at work we can see the sheep animation coming together using a mixture of 2D animation and 3D animation. For 2D work we'll start off with the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere. The close integration between vector-illustration and 2D compositing and animation make Adobe a really good place to begin and finish a project. For more complex animations we can delve into any number of other animation systems and then export the results for incorpating back into the After Effects projects. For instance, we wanted to use a 3D particle simulation to create leaves blowing through the scene. We drew up a leaf in Illustrator and used it as a texture map in Autodesk 3DS Max. Within minutes we had generated a lovely leaf-blowing layer, which we rendered and added to the 2.5D animation in After Effects. When you choose S.i.2.G. to create your animations you are in safe hands. We have a wide range of tools and software at our disposal and have numerous workstations. Should one computer system fail during the production we simply boot up another, as all files are located on shared storage and fully accessibly from any computer in the office, be it Windows or Mac.
